Overview

The Westin London City boasts an impressive riverside location and spectacular views over London’s historic River Thames. The project involved the demolition of an office building & the building of a new 10-storey, 240 room 5-star hotel (now The Westin) with 9 luxury apartments located on the upper floors facing the river Thames. It opened in November 2021 marking the Westin’s debut in the UK.

Howard Spa Consulting are a preferred partner for the development of Spas within the ‘Distinctive Luxury’ & ‘Premium’ classified hotels of Marriott International. Neil Howard liaised closely with Marriott’s Group Spa Director deploying Marriott’s design standards as well as the Owner’s specific requirements that came together to form the compact layout of the Spa & Wellness floor. 3 distinct zones were created [1] Pool, Vitality Pool & Thermal Suite [2] Treatment Rooms [3] Fitness Studio.

The Result

The two Marriott sub-brands of ‘WestinWORKOUT’ [Fitness Studio] is complemented by ‘Heavenly Spa by Westin’ [Treatments & Spa], featuring six treatment rooms, a pool, vitality pool a thermal suite.
